Something from December

It’s been a month, already! Can you believe it?

I’m not going to make those end-of-the-year posts about what I’m gonna do in 2015 for two reasons: 1) pretty sure nobody is giving a fuck 2) probably one minute after I hit publish, I already change my mind.

So here is a list of LPs I listened to in December 2014. December is going to be my last full month in Italy, since I’m going back to Berlin at the end of January, where a new adventure is waiting for me. Giulia and I are going to lose ourselves in the world again. Because our home is the world. Our home for now is not really having one. Or better: our home is not the typical home people have in mind (like, bought a house, gonna live there for the rest of my life). At least, not for now.

Now that’s what SEOs call music

vinyl on my plate!

I listen to a lot of music. Always. I started to talk to other SEOs about music they listen to, till I realize I wanted to know more about what music SEOs listen to when working. This was a huge project for me, because I had to get in touch with a lot of SEOs, and I didn’t know the response to this (since I am pretty unknown in 2012 :D). I am happy to say that more than 50 SEOs answered me back. The project started in this way: choose 2 songs or 2 bands you listen to, one for onpage stuff and one for offpage. Some SEOs were able to choose only 2 (I know it’s really hard), others wrote me their taste in music in general, refusing to choose only 2 songs. I decided to keep all the answers, no matter what was the original project, because it was a huge chance to me to discover a lot of music…and so, it’s a huge opportunity even for you! So, let’s start. This is a huge post, kinda epic I have to say (it’s really long, so take your time), and I want to THANK all the awesome people out there that were kind enough to share with me their music and who helped me to realize this. Ready to rock?

Top 18 albums of 2011

The end of the year is near. Every december around the web you can find every sort of “best of 2011” lists, including best albums, best SEO articles, best movies, best YouTube clips and on and on and on.

I mean, it’s really fun. By nature, I am more interested in lists talking about “best albums of 2011”, because I always check to know everything out there, or at least about music I am interested of.

Every year I have a look to the lists by Pitchfork , Bleep and Resident Advisor . Then I try to find lists by single artists I like the most, and at the end of this process, I start to order CDs and vinyls from Amazon (when I want to be “legal”).

So I decided to publish mine. The reason is simple. I wanted to have something that shows to my friends out there what I listened to the most during this year. I mean, it could be cool to discover new music thanks to me!
